Adult Telehealth Care
Convenient Virtual Care for Select Minor Health Concerns
Optima Vida Healthcare offers telehealth evaluations for adults age 18 and older with select minor illnesses and health concerns that can be safely assessed through virtual care.
Your provider will review your symptoms and medical history, determine whether telehealth is appropriate, and recommend the next steps. Treatment may include self-care guidance, laboratory testing, prescription medication when medically appropriate, or referral for in-person care.
Conditions We May Evaluate
Telehealth may be appropriate for concerns such as:

Minor rashes and skin concerns

Medication-related questions or minor side effects
Other nonemergency concerns that can be safely evaluated virtually

Adult telehealth visits are offered during the following hours:
Tuesday: 4:00–8:00 PM Central Time

Virtual care has limitations.
You may be directed to an in-person clinic when your condition requires:
A hands-on physical examination
Vital signs that cannot be obtained reliably

Immediate treatment or close monitoring
Evaluation of severe, persistent, or rapidly worsening symptoms
OVH’s telehealth service is not a substitute for an emergency department, full-service urgent care center, or established primary care relationship.
1. Complete a Brief Health Form
Tell us about your symptoms, medical history, allergies, current medications, and treatments you have already tried.
2. Provider Review
A licensed healthcare provider will review your information and determine whether virtual care is appropriate.
3. Complete Your Evaluation
Depending on your symptoms, your provider may communicate with you through secure messaging or require a video visit.
4. Receive Your Care Plan
You will receive individualized recommendations. Prescriptions are provided only when medically appropriate and are never guaranteed.
Antibiotic Prescribing
Antibiotics do not treat viral infections and will not be prescribed simply because they are requested. Antibiotics will be considered only when your symptoms and clinical history support a likely bacterial infection.
Some conditions require an examination or laboratory testing before an antibiotic can be prescribed.
Uncomplicated Urinary Tract Infections
Telehealth evaluation may be appropriate for some nonpregnant adults experiencing symptoms consistent with an uncomplicated urinary tract infection, such as burning with urination, urinary frequency, or urgency.
A urine test, pregnancy test, in-person examination, or higher level of care may be required depending on your symptoms and medical history. Telehealth may not be appropriate if you have fever, vomiting, significant back or flank pain, pregnancy, recurrent infections, a history of resistant infections, kidney disease, urinary tract abnormalities, or rapidly worsening symptoms.
